Hands On: Create a New Yacht Analysis
In this example, you will open an existing
yacht file in Sailfish Yacht
Analyzer. This will demonstrate how to import existing analysis (*.YML
files) and allow you to become familiar with the Sailfish Yacht Analyzer
user interface.
Before you begin
Ensure that you have completed installation of the Sailfish Yacht Analyzer
files.
Step by step
| 1 | Open the Sailfish Yacht Analyzer application, if it is not already running. | |
| 2 | Navigate to the File menu, select New Yacht.... | |

| 4 | The next screen is only for information purposes. Click Next to proceed. | |

This screen gives you the
choice for type of yacht. Offshore will be ocean proof, Costal a little bit weaker but faster and the Racing is optimized for speed. All parameters are fetched from statistics of 1000 older yachts. You should also type in the name of your yacht in the field for that. |

| 6 | The next screen gives you the opportunity to chose type of yacht and waterline length. | |
