Hands On: Modifying a Yacht Analysis

Now that you've created a yacht, you'll modify some of its properties. This exercise only touches on a few of the bunch of properties and methods available but will give you an idea of how simple it is.

Step by step

1 If not already open, open the Sailfish Yacht Analyzer and the yacht  you created in the last exercise.
2 This example is currently based on the sample "norlin34".
In the Navigation Tree, locate and click the "Design" and "Sail"
3 Change the P (Mast height) to 48 and click on "Sailing" and "Polar".
Compare this polar with the one from previous exercises to se the change.

You can do similar for the "Hull" and "Rig" entry views.

Now that you’ve seen how simple it is to modify a yacht, you may want to explore some of the other properties impact on the yacht.
