Polar Diagram

Polar Diagrams are used to determine the optimum course to sail, given existing wind conditions. They are plotted using polar coordinates, (hence the name) with true wind angle and a vector of actual boat speed.

Automatic Reading of IMS Certificate
|
|
The Sailfish IMS Plotter can read the IMS Certificate directly if it is in the "rtf" or "txt" format. If you have it in the "pdf"-format, you need to open it in the Adobe PDF-reader that is available from their web site. From the PDF-Reader you can copy all and paste it in the Sailfish IMS Plotter.

Manual entry of time allowances

The Sailfish IMS Plotter has a user friendly "spread sheet"-type of entry screen for manual entry of time allowances. This gives yo the opportunity to enter the times evan if you only have them on a printed sheet.
